This route follows the French trans-Pyrenean GR10 trail. Spectacular but demanding, it is defined by its passage through the famous Iparla Ridges. It starts with a steady, steep climb to the Aphaloiko Lepoa pass (711 m) and on to Buztanzelhai, followed by a long, technical descent that is tough on the knees, dropping from the ridges to the picturesque village of Bidarray.
