LAUNDRY ROOM

This historic washhouse, with its individual stone basins and fed by the Fuente Poderosa spring, offers a unique cultural experience along the Water Route.

Located on the edge of town and well integrated into the Water Route (Uraren ibilbidea), this washhouse is in excellent condition. Its design features a distinctive ethnographic element: individual stone basins where each woman stood to do her laundry, protecting herself from direct contact with the cold water. The site is fed by the Fuente Poderosa (Altsuko Iturri), keeping alive an infrastructure that was central to hygiene and women's social life in rural communities.
